 1. The twentieth annual Houston International Film Festival and "Festival of the Americas" awarded "Filmmaker" a silver medal in its category for short experimental film. (1987)

2. "Filmmaker" had its television premiere on KQED-TV, public television in San Francisco, on November 28, 1986, on "Frontal Exposure", a monthly showcase for independent and experimental film.

3. "Filmmaker received Honorable Mention from the 18th Annual Baltimore International Film Festival (BIFF-18). (1987)

4. "Filmmaker" was chosen to be shown at the BRNO International Film Festival, held in Czechoslovakia. (1986)

5. "Filmmaker" was chosen to be shown at the Hong Kong International Film Festival in April 1987.

6. "Filmmaker" received an award from the 20th Annual Humbolt Film Festival in April 1987.

7. "Filmmaker" was selected as a companion film by the Thomas A Edison Black Maria Film/Video Festival, and was taken on tour in 1986/1987.

8. "Filmmaker" was shown at the Twenty-Fifth Ann Arbor Film Festival. (1987)
